Welcome to Computer Mini Universe
This is a computer science discovery space for young people aged 6–16, and for the parents and teachers exploring alongside them. We aim to turn invisible computing concepts into things children can observe, try and discuss, using language that a typical ten-year-old can understand.

Discover computer hardware, the zeros and ones behind data, programs, data structures and algorithms, the internet and artificial intelligence. Our tools and interactive experiments let you test ideas for yourself. Each question can lead to another discovery.
See it, understand it, try it
Everyday analogies, illustrations, diagrams and experiments help explain abstract ideas. We also explain where an analogy differs from the real thing. Understanding, asking questions and connecting ideas matter more than memorizing terms or completing exercises.
For parents and teachers
Start with a question your child asks, read an article together and try a small experiment. Encourage predictions, observations and explanations, and take regular breaks. Offer age-appropriate guidance when using equipment or visiting other websites.
Help make learning clearer
